Blues Fundamentals II

Course Lessons

Start Course

What does it take to sound like a jazz pianist?

While Blues Fundamentals I gives you the tools—the voicings, scales, and chord progressions—this follow-up course is all about applying them. We slow everything down, break the blues into its building blocks, and walk through it piece by piece.

Using shell voicings, blues scales, and classic progressions, you'll internalize the feel of the blues by doing, not just watching. It's a guided practice experience, modeled after the approach I take with private students—step-by-step, with detailed visuals, play-alongs, and real-time demonstrations.

Why This Course? #

There’s some overlap with Blues Fundamentals I, but this course isn’t a repeat—it’s a deep dive. We isolate each section of the blues form (like the I–IV vamp or turnaround), master it, and then put it all back together in context.

If you learn best by playing along and want to really get these sounds in your hands, this course was made for you:
